About Me
A little about me for the curious. I live in South East London, England. I was born in 1965 and within 10 miles of where I live today and although I have travelled widely I have always lived in this part of the world.
I am married with two children.
I have worked in IT since 1984, starting as a COBOL programmer on ICL minis and mainframes and progressing to UNIX and relational databases, in particular ingres.
Since 2001 I have been working with ColdFusion and have enjoyed this language more than any other I have worked with.
I still program on a daily basis, although my job title is Systems Manager. The company I work for is part of a group involved in many aspects of business travel and now employs more than 25 ColdFusion developers worldwide.
I have an MSc in Computer Science from Liverpool University (2004).
I am a Salvationist (A soldier in the Salvation Army), which is a way of expressing my Christian faith in a practical way and hopefully do a little good to my fellow man.
I also ride a motorbike. Currently a Suzuki GSX1300R commonly known as a 'Busa!
